Sandy Murphy, convicted and then acquitted in Las Vegas in casino 
mogul Ted Binion's death. Cathy is interviewed for her expertise 
because she sat through both trials and wrote a book, Death in the 
Desert
, about the case.

Cathy Scott will be a panelist, as well as teach a workshop, at the 13th Annual Flathead River Writers Conference held at Grouse Mountain Lodge in Whitefish, Montana. Conference topics include genre and literary long and short fiction, nonfiction, poetry, memoir, magazine articles, screenplays, and the business end of the publishing industry. Cathy will focus on magazine and book publishing.

Cathy Scott will appear Sunday, March 9 at 12:30 am eastern time, or March 8 at 9:30pm pacific, on the syndicated hip-hop talk show "Off the Top," station 1240AM WGBB, aired from Merrick, Long Island.

The next book signing for "Murder of a Mafia Daughter" is scheduled for 7 p.m., Saturday, March 1, 2003 at the Young Israel of Las Vegas Synagogue at 9590 West Sahara Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89117 (adjacent to the Sahara West Library). Cathy Scott will speak for 45 minutes about Ms. Berman and her case, then answer questions for 15-minutes. Immediately following will be the book signing. Paris-based journalist Epee Dingong recently interviewed Scott for the upcoming April edition of Radikal, a French magazine about Hip Hop and politics. We'll post the translated article once it's published.
