Spring 2002 Hi, all-- A lot has been happening. I've just finished the 2nd edition of "The Killing of Tupac Shakur," due to be released in the fall by my original publisher, Huntington Press. This version is an updated and revised edition, with fresh interviews and more information about the murder. I'm just starting on another rap-related book. More about that when the contracts are firmed up! And I've just finished my latest book, "Murder of a Mafia Daughter: The Life and Tragic Death of Susan Berman." It's scheduled to be released in the fall (by Labor Day) by Barricade Books (www.barricadebooks.com). It's an interesting story with lots of twists and turns. It's also a tragic story. She was the daughter of Davie Berman, one of Bugsy Siegel's partners in the Flamingo Hotel. Susan's father died of natural causes in 1957, then her mother committed suicide. She wrote books about Las Vegas, including "Easy Street" and "Lady Las Vegas," then ended up dead like a character in one of her books. I'll be going on a book tour as the book is released. My publisher is already scheduling TV spots, so you should see it talked about. It's a high-profile case. In March I went to L.A. to tape a "Conspiracy Zone" show, with other panelists, in Hollywood for the UPN network. It's set to air in July or August, for sweeps. I'll let you know when as it gets closer. I've been teaching journalism at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, which has been an interesting gig. I'll be back for the fall semester.
