About the Author
Cathy Scott, a Los Angeles Times bestselling author, investigative journalist, and blogger for Psychology Today, has written 13 books. Her work has appeared in Time-Life Books, New York Times Magazine, Los Angeles Times, New York Times, Reuters, and Las Vegas Sun. As a reporter covering crime and the military, her work has taken her to Somalia and Panama, as well as the Los Angeles Riots and to New Orleans to cover Hurricane Katrina. Best known for penning The Killing of Tupac Shakur and Murder of a Mafia Daughter, she taught journalism for five years at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. DK Books released her latest work, The Crime Book, in the U.S. and U.K. in 2017. Recent TV appearances include The Dr. Oz Show, Dateline NBC, the Today Show, “The First 48,” and Vanity Fair’s crime series. She lives in the mountains of San Diego County in a renovated miner’s cabin with her three rescued dogs and former feral cat.
